Ruby Berry, Founder and Executive Director of The Women’s League, Inc. (TWL), began her walk with Jesus at a young age.
For many years, she knew Him as savior and served in the local church but did not make Him Lord of her life. Life progressed
and Ruby was faced with discouragements that led to the
beginning of depression. A dear friend, Dot Hipp, invited Ruby
to participate in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), an international, interdenominational expository study of God’s Word designed
to encourage a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ruby studied and served in the BSF ministry for nine years
during which time God developed a passion within her - an immense burden for the women of the pew, women in local churches who knew about God but didn't really know Him. To truly know God requires a very personal study of God's Word with a focus on who God is, what God has done and daily application of truth to our lives. Ruby's passion has become the basis for the mission statement of The Women's League, Inc.: to encourage women to be in God's Word and prayer daily to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The establishment of the ministry of The Women's League, Inc. began in 2000 with the support of Ike Reighard and Mike Linch, founding pastors of NorthStar Church in Kennesaw, GA. The Women's League, Inc. not only encourages individual women
but supports the development of effective and efficient small
group Bible study ministries in churches throughout the North
West Atlanta area. In ten short years, TWL, Inc. has grown from
a one-church organization to a 501(c)3 non-profit service organization that serves local churches in group ministry.
